Pictureless Post

So, as mentioned in the previous post, my phone was water damaged beyond repair. This meant I had to shell out fifty euro to buy the cheapest one in the shop. It was not worth fifty euro. It has no camera, Internet, nothing. The Nokia 3510i was more high tech. However it does have a handy torch feature which I wish I had known about last night as we fumbled along a slippery path looking for animals so Batty could put a pig in a headlock. Oh staff nights out.

One month to results. Eep! I keep having visions of myself going into Mr. Lannigan's office and him handing me the envelope and just saying, 'Very disappointing Miss Grant'. If I fail Irish my life will be over. Not to be melodramatic or anything.

I'm reading The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas atm. I know, I know, that was so two years ago. I'm not really one for misery lit, that's more Amy's cup of tea. I must admit, I'm not finding it as heartbreaking and poignant as I was lead to believe it is. Although maybe it's because I'm not finished it yet. I'm assuming the kid dies?

My driving is coming on in leaps and bounds, I've only cut out at a traffic light twice or so, and they're what I was most afraid of. I'm a pro at driving to Mullinavat by now.

I'm A Force Of Destruction

FML. My phone fell down the toilet and now 'this charger is not supported' and it won't charge. I looked this problem up on the Nokia's website and guess what? It's an unrepairable problem and now I have to buy a new phone at a time when I have no money.

Other than that, things are pretty good. Town was fairly quiet Friday night but we did see and excellent 80's cheese band that said we were the best dancers there. Yeah boi.

Tonight I'm going on a staff night out, so it's off to Jack Meade's for free food and drink. Hopefully the weather will hold out and all the staff of the Tower Hotel won't be huddled in a too small marquee, sipping pints and eating sausages. I should get this t-shirt for the occasion.

Today I tried on my beautiful debs dress, shoes, bag, strapless bra and all. And I must say, I was looking quite well once I ignored the bed head and panda eyes. Sigh, what a glamorous life I lead.

Bit Of A Mention Of Eclipse In This One

I don't know how to blog anymore. I've lost that rambling feeling. I thought summer and the loss of the leaving cert would equal more bloggings (say that how Gollum says 'Bagggginsss' in LOTR) but obviously, that has not happened.

Surprisingly, I failed to mention Eclipse in a blog after I saw it. I was well impressed. It was actually funny for once, and not just in a 'look at the state of Jacob Black's wig funny', though Jasper's was fairly terrible. Bella pissed me off yet again with her indecisive ways. Make up your mind girl!

I'm not going to put photos in this blog, unless I find a really good one, because I think I use them as compensation for my lack of words.

Life is full of choices, they are inevitable. There is no way I know of to procrastinate change. Do not fear change. It's usually for the best.

Going out on Friday for the first time since graduation, I'm surprised at this. I thought this summer would be all about going out but things like London and Oxegen were quite a drain on my resources and I had to mind my money. I'm starting to learn control with money. Yesterday I stopped myself from buying something in Penney's, even though I desperately wanted it :O

In a couple of months I will (hopefully) become a full time college student, living away from home for the first time, the whole shebang. I know I'm going to see a pair of Christian Louboutins in the Brown Thomas Christmas sale and buy them and then have no money for food for the rest of the year. I must learn control.

Today I read an article about encouraging children to read during the summer, they say children who become addicted to books will love books all their life. I couldn't agree more. I have loved books all my life, and something I strongly associate with summer time is Harry Potter midnight releases and library reading competitions.

Will The Real Kate Moss Please Stand Up?: OXEGEN '10

I am currently lying on my bed and relishing in all the comforts that accompany living in a house, cutlery, glasses, showers, books and dry feet. I'm also enjoying not having a cider baby anymore.

Lisa Coady deserves a medal for all she went through at Oxegen, though she did bring a lot of it on herself. Drinking a bottle of Buckfast through a beer bong is just asking for trouble.

Mumford and Sons, I do love you and I'm sorry I chose
Eminem, but my thirteen year old self would have thrown a fit if I'd chosen M&S. Speaking of, Eminem was AMAZING, he's definitely still got it. Biffy Clyro, 3Oh!3 and The Coronas were also excellent. Paolo Nutini looked more beautiful than ever.

Downside, I lost my thumb ring. I am disappoint.
